Under Construction

As you can see, I am trying really hard to make the website more and more useful. In the coming days to week expect to see on the unit what topics are being covered according to the AP as well as what days you will be expected to have the sections read. This way you can plan ahead to be able to keep up with the busy schedules of seniors.

Last week on Friday was our first test. I am working hard to grade the short and long answer sections. Please be patient as I find my groove and grade all 34 tests, it would be very much appreciated. I assure you, I am working as hard as I can. You should also make sure you prepared any day for a quiz on what you read. It may be the day after you read or two days, but at any time any topic you have read is fair game for a notes quiz.

Keep looking to the calendar for upcoming dates, and be on the lookout for a student led forum where you can post questions about economics and get help from your classmates on the topics.

Almost there!

Just a couple more days and we will begin the new school year. I hope you are as excited and anxious as I am. I am glad you have chosen to study AP Economics with me this year. It should prove to be a fun and challenging semester. You are likely taking this course because of the opportunity to earn college credit by scoring high on the AP Exam in May and looking to "boost" your GPA by taking AP courses. Please let me warn you, this class will be challenging. While you likely understand many of the ideas and concepts intuitively, you will be asked to transform that knowledge into formal economic understanding.

It is always an honor and a treat to teach upperclassmen, especially those who are the leaders of our school. My excitement and genuine interest in the course is therefore multifaceted. But you should not confuse my excitement and enthusiasm by believing the course to be easy. However, if you are someone who get satisfaction from learning something new and completing difficult challenges then this is the place to be.

Again, I look forward to our semester together, and anticipate much success.
